Medicare Supplement coverage

Medicare + Medigap = Nearly Full Coverage

๐Ÿฅ

You visit any doctor or hospital

Medicare Supplement works with ANY doctor who accepts Medicare โ€” nationwide. You are never restricted to a network.

๐Ÿ“‹

Medicare pays its share (80%)

Original Medicare (Parts A & B) covers about 80% of approved medical costs. That leaves 20% as your responsibility.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

Medigap covers the rest

Your Medicare Supplement plan steps in to pay most or all of the remaining 20%, plus deductibles and coinsurance. You may owe very little or nothing at all.

Why Medigap Gives You Peace of Mind

See Any Medicare-Accepting Doctor

No referrals, no networks, no pre-authorization for most services. Your freedom of choice is protected.

Predictable Monthly Costs

Your premium is fixed. You always know what you're paying โ€” no surprise co-insurance bills after a hospital stay.

Renewable for Life

As long as you pay your premium, the insurer cannot cancel your plan or raise your rates just because you got sick.

Nationwide Coverage

Traveling or snowbirding? Medigap covers you at any Medicare-accepting provider in all 50 states.

No Prescription Required

Medigap is separate from drug coverage โ€” you can pair it with any Part D plan that suits your medications.

The Most Popular Plans

All Medigap plans with the same letter offer identical benefits โ€” price is the only difference between carriers. We shop all of them to find you the best rate.

Most Popular

Plan G

The most comprehensive plan available to new Medicare enrollees. Covers nearly everything except the Part B deductible.

Plan N

Lower monthly premiums than Plan G. You pay small copays at doctor visits (up to $20) and emergency rooms ($50 if not admitted).

Plan F

Only available if you turned 65 before January 1, 2020. The original "first-dollar coverage" plan with zero out-of-pocket costs.

FAQ

When can I enroll in a Medigap plan?

The best time is during your 6-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period, which begins the month you turn 65 AND are enrolled in Medicare Part B. During this window, insurers cannot deny you or charge you more based on health conditions.

Does Medigap cover prescription drugs?

No. Medigap plans sold after 2006 do not include prescription drug coverage. You will need a separate Part D plan for your medications. We can help you find one that pairs well with your Medigap plan.

How much does a Medigap plan cost?

Premiums vary by plan type, your age, location, and the insurance company. Plan G plans typically range from $80 to $200+ per month. We compare dozens of carriers to find the lowest rate for the same coverage.

Can I keep my doctors?

Yes โ€” as long as your doctor accepts Medicare (and the vast majority do), they accept your Medigap plan too. You never need a referral or pre-authorization to see a specialist.
